ZURICH (Reuters) – The World Health Organization is in close contact with British officials about a new variant of the new COVID-19 virus, it said Sunday, advising people to be protected from the spread of the disease.

Several European countries have imposed restrictions on travel to and from the United Kingdom due to concerns about the new snoring, which is spreading rapidly there.

“We are in close contact with UK officials. They will continue to share the information and findings of the ongoing analysis and research. We will update the public and member states as we learn more, and have a clearer picture of the features of this change, ”said the WHO.

“In the meantime, we advise people to take all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to comply with national authority guidance. ”
