LONDON (Reuters) – Data supports Britain’s decision to move to a 12-week dosing schedule for Pfizer COVID vaccine, health minister Matt Hancock said on Thursday, adding details of efficacy collected through the release published as soon as possible.

“About 89% of efficacy comes from between days 14 and days 21 after the first dose,” Hancock told lawyers, noting that he had reviewed the data, and said that support the decision to move to a 12-week schedule between doses.

“We are looking at this data, and of course we are measuring the effectiveness here at home for those who have been vaccinated, by matching the data between those who have been vaccinated and those who have been vaccinated. which is positive. And we are monitoring that and we will publish that data as soon as it is clinically valid. ”
