The goal that saw Cristiano Ronaldo become the highest-scoring team-mate in football history

Cristiano Ronaldo reached another historic milestone in his remarkable career last night when he became the highest-scoring team-mate in football history.

After a goal from Danilo and Aaron Ramsey each side of Gregoire Defrel’s equalizer for the guests, the Portuguese superstar hit in the 92nd minute to win 3-1 his seal for Juventus over Sassuolo and in doing so, he moved level with Czech Republic legend Josef Bican on 759 goals.

Ronaldo went in behind him late and gave a clear finish to his 15th Serie A goal of the season so far, but more importantly the strike means he is just one away from being a key goal scorer in history.

He has hit 759 in 1037 games for club and country.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner passed the legendary Brazilian legend Pele of 757 last week when he grabbed a brace in a 4-1 win over Udinese – although it looks like the 80-year-old is going to dig up some of the goals he set for the park back in the 1950s and count them on his record.

Ronaldo took to Instagram following on from his equal goal, saying he was “glad he made my donation”.

Here’s how the rankings look like Ronaldo’s goal:
