Falcon and U.S. Agent of the Winter Soldier say he’ll be different from Captain America

US Agent is here and Wyatt Russell says his character will be very different from Captain America in. The Hawk and the Winter Soldier. Disney + unveiled the red carpet for the Cap faux at the end of the documentary series. Social media quickly exploded with fans who were upset by this attempt to replace Steve Rogers. But, even more upsetting for them, Russell spoke to USA Today about how his Walker is different from hero Chris Evans. The big difference is fundamentally about how the life experiences of the two soldiers are different. Being in the armed forces affects both Rogers and US Agent in different ways. The actor plays the man who now holds the shield in a very different way than he did for a slender child from Brooklyn almost a century ago. Check out what he had to say below:

“I don’t think there are a lot of MCU characters who have really struggled with trying to get into this kind of moral superhero world,” Russell said. “He’s been in this role as Captain America and he’s going to make his way, and he wants to do it right. But his path is a very special way he learned by being basically a trained human hunter. I mean, that’s what Marines are all about. They are not Steve Rogers, they are not the same. They are no longer like Boy Scouts. They are a little more conventional. “

“There’s always an element of truth (in the show) where it looks like, well, sometimes you need that guy, and it’s not always beautiful. It’s fun to play these characters because they’re always going against themselves, ”he said. “They are always at odds with their own abilities and with their own moral compass. They know what’s right, sort of, but they also want to win and they’ll fight that. ”

Russell also spoke to EW about what drew him to Walker in the first place. The U.S. Agency is in a very different symbolic zone than Bucky or Sam Wilson.

“He’s a complex character. That’s what drew me to him,” Russell explained of playing the new Cap. “It will be fun to see how these three boys interact in terms of their identity. I think I can safely say it’s a show about identity and what it means to each individual. “
