Amelia Gray Hamlin opens up about past struggles with eating disorders while observing International Women’s Day
Amelia Gray Hamlin opened up about her previous battle with an eating disorder on Monday as she talked about what International Women’s Day means to her.
‘I struggled with an eating disorder when I was 14 and I’m so lucky to have come out of the other side of it,’ said the 19-year-old model. ‘I learned so many wonderful things from him that I would not honestly return them.’
Amelia, who is linked to Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Scott Disick, 37, emphasized a message of self-love and caring on the day of the show.

‘I’ve never been so passionate about what I do now and honestly so important, I think the most important quality a woman can have is just self-love, self-esteem, self-confidence and physical condition. ‘

Amelia appeared last year on the podcast The Skinny Confidential Him and Her, where she said her eating disorder developed amid a ‘weird level’ when she studied pictures of herself.
Amelia said she put her energy towards over-exercising and a Master Cleanse lemonade diet amidst the troubled times, while denying her problems to Rinna and her older sister Delilah Belle Hamlin, 22.
She said doctors at UCLA told her she was ‘going to die’ if she continued on the unhealthy path.
‘It couldn’t be a more uncomfortable baby for me,’ she said. ‘He looked at me and it was like, “So, yeah, basically, at this point in about four months you’re going to be 45 pounds and you’re going to be dead.”
