Zoom’s latest update includes support for Apple’s M1 Macs

Video conferencing platform Glossary ready to release a new update that will support the latest Apple Silicon Macs that will power the MacBook Air M1, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini.
This was found in the news releases of the update which is due to be released on December 21st.
“Support for Apple Silicon Processors – Zoom desktop messengers better support computers with ARM CPUs. A separate installer is available for download in the Zoom Download Center, ”said Zoom in his press release.
Since Zoom is a handy tool for video conferencing – both personal and professional – this is likely to be a major upgrade for owners of the new Mac devices.
In addition to this feature, the update is also coming with enhanced cloud communication integration for chat / call features. It should also bring a better group of security options on board when logging in, launching an external app or URL for incoming calls and more.

* General features
* Support for Apple Silicon processors Zoom desktop clients better support computers with ARM CPUs. A separate installer is available for download in the Zoom Download Center.
* Enhanced cloud communication integration for chat / call features Communication introduced through the communication integration can now be easily added as a Zoom contact. Once you are approved as a Zoom contact, you will be able to call or meet with them and see their Zoom status.
* Meeting / webinar features
* Enhanced non-verbal comments and feedback Non-verbal feedback options have been moved to the Feedback button, and all comments will be displayed in the participants’ video corner. The guest will see the comments of each participant on the list of participants, as well as the total numbers of each response at the bottom of the list.
* Build a hand for guest and co-hosts Guests and co-guests can use the hands-on feature with meeting participants and webinar attendees.
* Voting reports available during the live session The meeting or webinar host will have the option of downloading the full election results when the poll ends during the live session, instead of waiting for the meeting or webinar to end. This will launch their browser and start downloading the CSV poll report.
* Meeting features
* Improved group of security options when registering The “Only authenticated users can only join” option is now located in the Security section of the registration window, combining it with Passcode options and Waiting Room to allow easier selection and use of security features.
* Phone features
* Support for text messaging (SMS and MMS) Users with Zoom Phone Pro permissions can use their direct phone numbers to send or receive text messages (SMS and MMS).
* Improvements to call queues with call monitoring If it is possible to monitor a queue for a queue, members and supervisors can easily monitor their queues and use call monitoring features.
* Cime end of call Cime users hear and see when a call ends abruptly, usually from a bad network connection or the other person terminating the call.
* Launch external app or URL for incoming calls Users can design Zoom Phone to launch a specific app or URL when they receive a call. They can add additional parameters to the app or website with% arguments; for example, contact name and ID.
