The Belgian international scored one goal and created another goal in the win over Alaves
Zinedine Zidane’s assistant, David Bettoni, has said Real Madrid need to be patient with Eden Hazard after his star-studded career against Alaves on Saturday.
The Belgian superstar Real has had a tough time since making the move from Chelsea in 2019, with injuries limiting his impact for the Liga champions.
Hazard got off to a flying start in Real’s 4-1 win over Alaves on Saturday afternoon, and made an impressive display at Mendizorrotza Stadium.
The striker scored one goal and helped another goal for Karim Benzema, with his performance more in line with the brilliance he consistently displayed for Chelsea.
Real and Hazard will be aware of the need for regular delivery, and Bettoni has said patience will pay for both player and club.
“It’s creative and unpretentious,” Bettoni said. “He has had a difficult year with injuries. We need to be patient with him.
“It simply came to our notice then at Real Madrid, but we are happy with it. I think it gets better with every game. ”
Benzema feels Hazard has a story to write at Madrid and has supported his colleague to get along well.
“Eden Hazard has one story with Chelsea and another to create here,” Benzema said. “It was good today and we need to make the most of it.”
Bettoni was over the lineup Saturday after Zidane was tested for coronavirus on Friday and was taken to loneliness.
The result will reduce pressure on Zidane after the horrific loss to Alcoyano in the Copa Del Rey on Wednesday.
Reflecting on the performance against Alaves, Bettoni said: “I am very pleased with the team’s effort. We prepared for the game really well and the players were amazing. ”
Bettoni says he was quickly in touch with Zidane, who was pleased with the performance.
“He was very pleased with the look and the performance,” Bettoni said. “He asked me to congratulate the players, as it would have been done. Nothing special. We are happy with all three points. ”
The win moves Real to within four points of Atletico Madrid’s management, although they have played two more games than their home rivals.
Real have run five games between now and the resumption of the Champions League on February 24th.
Real ‘s progress in games against Levante, Huesca, Getafe, Valencia and Valladolid, with Zidane still in charge, will have an impact.
Appropriate danger and firing would be a great stimulus to the French cause.
