Yellow again soon? Efforts by Maccabi to return Geralds

Beginning of an article

Noble Omar and Andre Geralds were the face of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s success last season, but in Cyprus they simply failed to rise. Their return to Israel now seems inevitable, after the Cypriot media reported that Apoel Nicosia intends to release the two immediately.

As is well known, Noble and Geralds are the two most prominent cucumbers in the current winter window of Israeli football. Maccabi Haifa is trying to add the two players, while Betar Jerusalem is competing against it for the services of the midfielder who broke into the club’s uniform from the capital.

The Portuguese defender is also interested in Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he played last season and was an integral part of its almost impenetrable defensive squad. In fact, the champion has stepped up efforts recently to bring Geralds back to Israel and he may sum up his terms in the coming days.

So what happened to the two in the six months they spent in Cyprus? Geralds recorded just nine league appearances in which Epoel scored six goals while Noble recorded ten league appearances in which he did not score a single goal and cooked only twice. Along with them, one of the biggest teams in Cyprus is only in 11th place and is only four points away from where they are relegated from the league (even though it has two games missing).
