Xiaomi is a company known for offering a diverse package of devices. Now, word is that the company is working on a pair of stylish glasses with medicinal properties.
According to a report by IT Home (via GizChina), Xiaomi has been granted a new patent that talks about a pair of smart glasses that integrate tracking and handling capabilities. The report states that Xiaomi’s smart glasses will emit some therapeutic signals including photoelectric and wave signals. These waves are used to treat various health conditions such as brain diseases, mental illness and eye fatigue.
In addition, the company ‘s upcoming device is said to come with mild medical indications that will help treat brain or mental illnesses. It also comes with sound wave signals that help in treating mental illnesses and relieving headaches and injuries. Magnetic waves or electromagnetic waves, on the other hand, help stimulate blood circulation in the brain.
That said, although Xiaomi has obtained the patent, that does not guarantee that Xiaomi will trade the device.
Interestingly, Xiaomi isn’t the only company planning to launch luxury glasses. Reports have explained that Apple also plans to launch Apple Glasses in 2022. They are rumored to have AR / VR capabilities and come with Sony microOLEDs offering a resolution of 1280×960 pixels. The device’s OLED microdisplays appear to offer a 100,000: 1 ratio, a response speed of 0.01ms or less, and a wide color gamut.
