WWE Raw: Keith Lee is going to be the No. 1 contender

December 29 (UPI) – Keith Lee became the No. 1 contender for the WWE Drew MacIntyre Championship on the last Raw of 2020.

MacIntyre kicked off the show Monday, which began with a graphic of homage to the late Jon Huber, called Luke Harper in WWE and Brodie in AEW.

The camp met with his friend Sheamus ahead of James ’game against Lee to find out who will face MacIntyre next for the WWE title. MacIntyre challenged Seamus to win because he wanted to go up against his friend in the ring.

Lee went in and described how Sheamus Brogue kicked him last week, telling MacIntyre that he can’t trust Seamus.

Sheamus responded with Brogue Kicking Lee twice before their game could officially start.

Lee and Sheamus had a physical, back and fourth contest where the two pushed each other to the lowest level. Lee was able to overcome the attack made by Sheamus earlier but the Celtic Warrior grabbed Lee with a Double Ax Handle from the high rope.

Lee was able to survive through a white sound from Seamus and won the game with a thundering Spirit Bomb. MacIntyre, who provided coverage throughout the game, took a look at Lee and held up the WWE Championship.

MacIntyre will defend his title against Lee next week on Raw during Legends Night. The special will feature performances by Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and more.

Also on Raw, Alexa Bliss invited Randy Orton to her Alexa’s Playground playground. Bliss The Fiend companion Bray Wyatt has remained missing in action since Orton burned the Fiend live at a TLC pay-per-view event.

Orton did not meet Bliss inside the ring and instead spoke to her from the video screen when he entered The Firefly Funhouse. The Viper began destroying Wyatt’s puppet collection featuring Mercy The Buzzard and Abby the Witch.

Bliss then challenged Orton to meet back in the ring later in the night, and Orton accepted.

Bliss, in the latter part of the night, gave Orton cans and gas gases. She also frightened Orton who lit the fire and poured the gasoline over her body.

Orton got a game ready as the lights in the field went out, but Raw went off the air before fans could tell what happened now.

Other times from Raw included Gran Metalik defeating The Miz; Shayna Baszler defeats Dana Brooke; AJ styles the case of Elias; Mustafa Ali defeats Ricochet; Nia Jax enters the Women’s Royal Rumble game; Women’s Tag Team Competition Charlotte Flair defeats Jax by disqualification after Baszler attacked Flair; and The Hurt Business case on New Day, Jeff Hardy and Riddle.

The Miz, in a sudden turn of events, got his money back in the Bank newspaper. The Miz had complained to WWE that his tag teammate John Morrison handed over his newspaper when he used it at TLC. The briefing paper allows the Miz to challenge for the WWE Championship at any time.
