WWE NXT: Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly sign contract for uncontrolled game

March 25 (UPI) – Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly agreed to settle their differences in an uncontrolled WWE NXT game.

The former Undisputed Era team-mates turned rivals face-to-face on Wednesday with NXT general manager William Regal. The grapplers were surrounded by a security team.

Regal, upset about how Cole and O’Reilly’s confrontation got out of control with police intervening last week, recommended the game without investigation. O’Reilly has not yet been medically cleared to compete and NXT will not be responsible for any injuries they suffer during the blow.

Cole and O’Reilly went into a war of words before signing the dotted line. Cole said he did not need the Undisputed Era and the relevant body would not be without it.

“I grew up as a man. I started taking some responsibility for what I did. We became stars, but only one of us was going to be a better person. I sold my soul for the Age without doubt and I want it back, “O’Reilly said.

The security team had to separate Cole and O’Reilly when they tore apart and crossed the board. Cole vs O’Reilly will take place on night two of NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, which will take place over two nights on April 7th and April 8th.

Also on WWE NXT, Karrion Kross took over Oney Lorcan who was the NXT Tag Team Contest. Kross, Lorcan ‘s partner Danny Burch, was injured last week, causing Regal to miss the Lorcan and Burch NXT Tag Team Tournaments.

Lorcan fought hard against Kross, delivering several hard chops to the chest. Kross weathered the storm and later won the game by hitting Lorcan in the back of the head.

Kross, who will face Finn Balor for the NXT Tournament on the second night of TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, spoke to The Prince who later entered the ring.

Balor said he has discovered Kross’s weakness, saying he is driven by strong emotion. The two grippers then looked at each other down inside the ring. Kross is still undeveloped in one-on-one games.

Raquel González and Dakota Kai reunited to fight NXT Women’s Champions Io Shirai and Zoey Stark. González will face Shirai for her title on the night one of NXT TakeOver: Stand Up and Deliver.

González took over the bout and brought out Stark with a One-Arm Powerbomb. González picked up Stark a second time, kicked Shirai down to the ring area, and delivered a second One-Arm Powerbomb to Stark to win the game.

Other times from WWE NXT included Bronson Reed defeating LA Knight; United Kingdom Walter defeats Drake Maverick because of the referee ‘s stop in sure fashion; Walter accepts a challenge from Tommaso Ciampa after attacking Ciampa with the group Walter Imperium; Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon Women ‘s NXT Tag Team successfully defended the titles against Mercedes Martinez and Aliyah; and NXT Weightlifting Champion Jordan Devlin defeats Kushida.

Devlin went against his Cruiserweight rival Santos Escobar. Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels came down the ramp and threw a ladder into the ring, suggesting that Devlin and Escobar find out who the real Cruiserweight champion is by matching a ladder.
