The latest NBA draft, although it included a respectable Israeli representation, did not abound in much talent – but it seems that the upcoming draft will make up for it. “The top five in this round is nothing short of spectacular, one of the best I’ve seen in my 20 years in the profession,” testified ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givoni, sending us to bring together the top five players for one spot.
Cade Cunningham
Let’s start, of course, with ‘2 Williamson’s 2021. True, he’s not an athletic monster like the Pelicans star – but the hype around him is beginning to mention the noise that Zion brought with him. The United States is a player with an impressive physique, slick style and high IQ – which made him a man for whom quite a few teams are willing to sacrifice their season. .
Ivan Mobley
When Chin came to the College of Southern California (USC) as the player with the highest ranking in the history of the humble team, he was accompanied by expectations not seen in the area for decades, if at all. And somehow, in his first season in colleges he managed to surpass them. In fact, no player at his conference was more dominant than him – and so he was named the conference player of the season, the season commentator and defensive player of the year. The only one who did it before him was none other than Anthony Davis, the Lakers star. In terms of numbers, Mobley scored 16.8 points per game, picked up 8.6 rebounds and finished with 3 blocks.
Jaylen Green
“He’s the most talented scorer in this year’s draft,” the 19-year-old wrote in The Ringer – and the truth? This is not unfounded. The Development League’s guinea pig, who gave up the college experience to play with adult players, proves his place in the top five from game to game. He scores 17.9 points per game against bigger rivals fighting for every minute in the best league in the world, and does so at 46.1%. “He combines athleticism seen in video games, and shooting according to the book. He’ll score a lot in the NBA, the question is how long will it take him to do all the other things,” they testified on ESPN.
Strong words from @DraftExpress regarding the talent in the top-five of the 2021 #nbadraft, starting at the top with Cade Cunningham and continuing with Evan Mobley, Jalen Green, Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Kuminga

Jonathan Cuminga
Another player who preferred the Development League over the colleges, and at least at first, he looked exactly like the one for whom the plan was built – as Cuminga scored at least 19 points in three of his first four appearances on the Development League pitches. It would have seemed almost inconceivable how an 18-year-old boy from the tell of veteran professionals, but after the dreamy opening something went off. Kominga has exploding flashes that prove his place in the NBA, but in the meantime, the US is looking at him as a raw material and not as a finished product. On paper, in 13 games he scored 15.8 points per game and added 7.2 rebounds.
Jaylen Sags
The West Coast championship game between Gonzaga University and BYU was close throughout, but two magical minutes from one player ensured Gonzaga the victory. Those were the two minutes Sags, who produced for Lasha, blocked a shot on defense and demonstrated his quarterback skills with a three-quarter pass that left him in the lead. Such is Sags, a winner, a man of great games. In the season-opening game against Kansas he scored 24, three weeks later he shot 27 on Iowa’s head. And all that, he was promised a host of awards, a place in the NCAA tournament and presumably a guaranteed contract in the NBA. In practice, this was reflected in 14.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.
Jalen Suggs is likely a top 5 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft … but can not forget about him on the football field 🗣@ JalenSuggs2020 pic.twitter.com/B5dM48iJd4
