A woman has been sharing her mother’s genius hack to remove pricey stickers from birthdays and Christmas presents in seconds.
Lexie Byers, posted on TikTok how you can easily remove stickers without soaking the object in water or peeling them with your nails.
‘I have a life hack that’s going to make you think. My mother taught me this, my mother knows everything, ‘she said in the video.

She shows the camera a large stack of white tumbler cups with plastic stickers underneath, which are notoriously difficult to remove.
‘Anything with a sticker tag will stop it,’ she said.
Ms Byers then picks up a piece of tape about 7cm long and attaches it to the tumbler cup.
‘Grab some sticky tape and put half of it on the tag and rub it until it’s really there,’ she said.
‘Make sure you leave a little tail, and then you leave it’.
Ms. Byers easily lowers the tags from the bottom of the cups in just seconds.
‘Then you can peel it off and do it again. Great, ‘she said.

Viewers quickly commented on the video, with many praising the woman for saving her time.
‘You may have saved billions in lost time’, wrote one of them.
‘The hours I’ve sat going to WAR with those stickers’, wrote another.
But other users called the video a hoax, saying the method only works with plastic stickers.
‘That works on plastic stickers, not paper,’ said one person.
‘Those don’t come off easily because those aren’t the paper tags,’ wrote another.
