Window of Transition January 2021: You Must Know | Football News

The January transfer window will open soon. From prime dates to how to follow with Sky Sports, here’s what you need to know.

When does the window open?

The transfer window in England for the Premier League and Sky Bet EFL will open on 2 January and close on 1 February 2021.

The Bundesliga and Ligue 1 windows will also open on January 2 while La Liga and Serie A will start trading on January 4.

What contracts can be made?

As usual, players can be bought and sold all over Europe and beyond. Loan contracts can be completed through the month-long window.

Will there be another domestic moving window?

At the time of writing, there is no indication that there will be another extended domestic transfer window between Premier League and EFL clubs.

In the summer, the English sides were able to do business for another 11 days after the first date on October 5. The second domestic window closed on October 16, although Premier League clubs were only able to buy from EFL clubs and not among themselves. .

This has seen the likes of Said Benrahma, Joe Rodon and Karlan Grant secure transfers from Championship clubs into the main flight.
