Prince William urges everyone in Britain to follow the example of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in defending against COVID-19 while authorities fight fear of assurance of vaccine safety
LONDON – Prince William urges everyone in Britain to follow the example of Queen Elizabeth II, his grandmother, to be protected against COVID-19 while authorities fight unproven fears of vaccine safety.
The second spoke according to the throne about the queen and her husband, Prince Philip, during a video call by National Health Service staff and volunteers that was released late Saturday. The messengers told William that some members of the public are willing to take any of the coronavirus vaccines authorized by regulators.
“My grandparents got my vaccine and I’m very proud of them for doing that,” said William. “It is very important that everyone is vaccinated on request. ”
The queen, 94, revealed last week that she and Philip, 99, had received the first dose of the vaccine. The announcement was supposed to end protests over the issue and build confidence in the outlook as the NHS tries to give the first dose of vaccine to everyone over 70 by mid-February .
The British authorities have given first priority to the elderly as they are at risk of dying from COVID-19.
