The suspects in the late Christmas Day bombing in the U.S. city of Nashville have been described by his neighbors as a quiet, complex man, local news reports said.
Warner, 63, the main suspect in a major explosion that affected the southern U.S. state of Tennessee early Friday, has been identified as the owner of the white recreational vehicle (RV) that exploded.
Warner was present in the RV when the bomb went off and he died at the scene, Don Cochran, the U.S. attorney for Central Tennessee, told reporters Sunday that the remains were destroyed. of it found in the vehicle based on DNA evidence.
His neighbors described Warner, an independent computer technician with experience in electronics and alarm systems, as a silent and intrtrted person, according to local papers.
While Warner’s RV had been parked outside his house for years, according to his neighbors, a few weeks ago he began building a wooden fence by himself around the yard of his house, and then parking the RV behind it.
“Warner was kind of low key to the point, I don’t know, I believe some would say it’s a little weird,” Steve Schmoldt, his two-decade-old neighbor, told the U.S. today.
Schmoldt said he had brief conversations with Warner, saying: “You’ve never seen anyone come and go.” He never saw go anywhere. As far as we know, it was kind of a computer boat that worked at home. “
Warner did not get into politics and did not put flag signs on his windows or front porch, according to Schmoldt and his wife.
Neighbors followed the news of the explosion on TV but made no connection to the RV until FBI representatives appeared at Warner’s house.
Warner is believed to have acted alone in the explosion, which injured at least three people and damaged about 20 buildings.
U.S. authorities have not yet confirmed a reason.
