Where they will study in zoom, and where in school: the colors of the traffic lights and the new decisions

The new red list for next week – and with it the changes at the traffic light: Tonight (Tuesday), the government will vote on the list of localities where classes will be held in schools and kindergartens from Sunday, along with those who will study in Zum. These are the new lists, as they came to Ynet.

The list of red cities includes Umm al-Fahm, Ofakim, Baqa al-Gharbiya, Taibeh, Nazareth and Rahat. In addition, no studies will be held in “dark orange” cities such as Tiberias and Kiryat Malachi, as well as in neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, and in areas in Beer Sheva, Bnei Brak and Netanya.

The “bright orange” localities with a high rate of vaccinations in which studies will take place are Azor, Iksal, Efrat, Ashkelon, Beit Dagan, Beit Shemesh, Jisr a-Zarqa, Givat Zeev, Gan Yavne, Deir al-Assad, Deir Hanna, Dimona , Hadera, Hatzor HaGlilit, Tirat Carmel, Tamra, Kabul, Lod, Migdal, Migdal Haemek, Modi’in Illit, Nof Hagalil, Nahaf, Ness Ziona, Sajur, Sakhnin, Acre, Arad, Pardes Hanna Karkur, Safed, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Yam, Kiryat Ekron, Rehovot, Rechasim, Shibli – Umm al-Ganem, Sdot Dan, Shlomi and Shefar’am

Alongside this, studies will also take place in the orange neighborhoods of Jerusalem: Lev Ir, Kiryat HaLeum, Musrara, the Jewish Quarter, Pisgat Ze’ev, Kiryat Menachem and Givat Masua. In addition, the list of “bright orange” localities also includes many regional councils.

In addition, several new decisions were made regarding studies during the Corona period. In schools with immunization rates of more than 90% or more of 11th-12th grade students, students in these grades will be able to study in the educational institutions themselves – regardless of the color of the traffic light.

At the same time, localities where educational institutions were closed due to the traffic light cut (red or dark orange) but their traffic light score improved and for two consecutive days became open – can be opened subject to approval by the Director General of the Ministry of Education, without waiting for the next one. Per week.

Another decision is that schools in orange localities that have a “Education Shield” activated – a program for early detection of morbidity in the education system by checking students and teachers once a week – will remain open even if the morbidity situation in the locality has worsened to dark orange or red. The “Shield of Education” program itself will also continue to operate in them.
