Humans have been dreaming of going into space for a long time. From the many space films to television shows and iconic books, civilian space travel has been an ongoing theme for some time. The first civilian is likely to enter the area in 2021.

Motivation4
Several companies and enterprises are competing to launch the first civilian into space.
It seems that the Inspiration4 may be the first civil space travel mission in partnership with SpaceX. If all goes according to plan, the world’s first four civilian astronauts will launch in 2021. The team will launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where the Apollo missions and Launch Space Shuttle. It will be between 2 and 4 days with a low earth orbit covering 90% of the world’s population.
This mission will use the same Dragon vehicle that was successfully docked at the International Space Station by four professional astronauts by the end of 2020.
Sports fans watching Super Bowl LV on February 7, 2021, may remember seeing a 30-second trade from Inspiration4 and their director, Jared Isaacman. The leader and donor is Jared Isaacman. He is an accomplished pilot with experience in commercial and military aviation. Isaacman also flies in the Black Diamond Jet Charity Team.
This TV site helps the average person to learn about the mission of Inspiration4 and encourages people to apply for the remaining two sets. As well as being the first civil space travel mission, Inspiration4 is helping to raise awareness and money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The second title chair is Hope. St. Jude’s ambassador with direct links to the Inspiration4 mission will fill this chair.
Candidates who fulfill a specific social purpose are given both open sets:
- Generosity: An individual who makes a donation to St. Jude
- Success: An entrepreneur who used the Shift4 Store to launch a business
Crew selection for the remaining seats will begin in March 2021. The selected team will undergo astronaut training and fly into space on the SpaceX Dragon Spacecraft.
SpaceX
It appears at this point that SpaceX will be the first company to win the civil space race if Inspiration4 comes to fruition. SpaceX is led by entrepreneur Elon Musk, who is perhaps better known as the public face of the Tesla vehicle brand.
SpaceX is currently launching satellites with its Starlink program. The company has also announced a number of “space tourism” partnerships which it hopes to launch over the next few years.
Civilians will use a Dragon capsule that holds up to 7 astronauts. But the first few trips will only take four people into space at a time.
Axiom Location
Axiom Space is building the first private space station where space tourists can stay in space for several days in the future. For now, Axiom is launching its first private crew mission to the International Space Station in 2021.
As soon as civil space travel begins, they will be guided by professional astronauts. These first missions provide training opportunities for the space team and companies. The first civil spaceflight is scheduled to begin for 2022. Four people will fly to stay at the International Space Station for ten days.
Space Adventures
Space Adventures is one of the oldest space tourism companies and was launched in 1998. The company reportedly successfully sends private citizens to the International Space Station using the Russian Soyuz rocket. Space Adventures also hopes to use SpaceX Falcon rockets to launch civilians into space from Florida.
If accepted, Space Adventures will launch from Florida. There will be a low five-day orbit on Earth that will not reach the International Space Station. The target date is from late 2021 to early 2022.
Yusaka Maezawa
Japanese billionaire Yusaka Maezawa is striving to be the first civilian to orbit the moon. He signed a partnership with SpaceX for this “moonshot project” to fly on the Big Falcon Rocket and complete the mission by 2023.
Blue Origins
Blue Origin is another major space tourism company led by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. In early February 2021, Bezos announced his retirement as CEO of Amazon to spend more time focusing on his other projects. One of them is Blue Origin.
11-minute space missions
Blue Origin offers low-earth orbit flights from its launch site in west Texas. The New Shephard rocket system will take up to 6 civilians to the edge of space above the Karman Line for 11 minutes.
Passengers arrive two days before the flight for training. While in space, travelers can experience zero-G pressure and look out of the giant windows to see space and the Earth. Civilians will re-enter Earth and land in the desert near El Paso, Texas, in the capsule through a parachute.
Prices for this space trip are not publicly available on the Blue Origin website. However, some rumors indicate that the ticket is at least $ 200,000 to $ 250,000 per person.
Blue Moon
NASA’s last lunar mission took place in 1972. Today, nations are interested in returning to the moon. For example, the United States wants to send the first woman to the Moon by 2024. The U.S. government is competing to select a new moon as part of its Artemis program. If successful, humans will live on the Moon full time.
The Blue Origin offer is the Blue Moon vehicle. There is a product version and NASA’s Human Cleaning System which is a joint venture with Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Draper.
Virgin Galactic
As part of the “Virgin” family led by Richard Branson, Virgin Galactic operates out of Spaceport America in New Mexico. Like the other space tourism companies, Virgin Galactic is currently in the testing phase of its SpaceShipTwo vehicle but hopes to board civilians soon.
SpaceShipTwo
Virgin Galactic’s first space missions will use SpaceShipTwo. This craft holds up to six passengers, and each ticket costs at least $ 250,000.
Like the Blue Origin New Shephard flights, space will only take several minutes. But the total flight time from takeoff to landing will be around 2.5 hours.
International Space Station
In the future, Virgin Galactic will provide missions to the International Space Station. Very little detail is available on cost and the number of days in space. But civilians can join the checklist to begin the process of space travel.
Summary
Civil space travel could eventually come into effect later in 2021. However, there are safety and government requirements to overcome it first. After that, humans can begin to travel to the edge of space for a lifetime of experience.
