What now for ‘The Mandalorian’ (And Baby Yoda?)

Destroyers ahead

End of season 2 of Am Mandalorian he delivered an emotional, but inevitable, plot that would completely change the course of the series.

Let’s forget about Luke’s uncanny valley, and focus on the relationship between Din Djarin and, ummm, “Grogu” (who will always be Baby Yoda to me). After two seasons of plot that was fun, but somewhat motionless, that relied on the difference between cold beskar and cute puppets, the two characters have finally been separated.

Where can they go from here?

Din Djarin

Din is in an interesting place right now – while the series has always been a bit light-hearted on character, we’ve traced our metallic hard-core protagonist into a kinship father, a man mature enough to release his adopted son, realizing he’s probably safe with the stranger who can slip through Dark Troopers like butter.

We get to Grogu in a minute, but it seems like Din ‘s story has just begun. While season 2 rushed to introduce new characters and other subsequent sequels, sparking out the Mandalorian title, season 3 seems to focus more on Din.

An interesting conflict between Din and Bo-Katan revealed that Din’s strict rule of “or faces” is very strict, even for his fellow Mandalorians; it is a religious foundation from a backwater planet, living in a modern world.

That’s a wonderful problem for a character whose reasons so far have been obvious. So this season, Din had a choice – follow down the path of calm ideology, or just take off the dam helmet and say goodbye to his baby.

In fact, he chose the latter, and showed his face to the entire team (and this was after he had to make a face show for Migs Mayfeld). For that reason, I think we can assume that Din is now going to relax that helmet rule – I’m not sure a jobless frontman would work without Grogu the helmet. present at least. Plus, Pedro Pascal is an awesome actor – it’s time to let him perform!

But the conflict between his strong build and the other Mandalorians is about to come in, and the story seems to move into true Arthurian mythology, with Din by the legendary Darksaber, a sword in his there is a bloody statement itself.

So I think we might see season 3 of Am Mandalorian give it a little look Game of Thrones, with warring factions struggling for control, and perhaps Din was the trusted hero, who was to unite the Mandalorian tribes.

Whatever happens, it’s good to see Star Wars enter the peaceful side of the right, with knights armed with holy swords.

Grogu

RESEARCH

But what happens to Grogu, the franchise’s unexpected messenger, a Disney + liberator?

Well, we’re not going to see much more of Luke Skywalker, for sure; that a CGI puppet could hardly speak without revealing itself as an Eldritch villain, and we all know what will happen to Luke Jedi ‘s young soldiers in the future.

But it is unlikely that Disney will allow Baby Yoda to be mercifully killed by Adam since Girls – it just doesn’t happen. So he either returns to Din (a pointless turn of a good plot turn), or jumps on a boat to another Star Wars show, long before Kylo Ren has the legendary tantrum.

Ahsoka may have an upcoming story just to give Grogu a place – she has already built a relationship with the mysterious creature. Like Luke, she can teach the little boy Force techniques, and, unlike Luke, has an age-appropriate actor for the part. It fits perfectly, as the sequins start to look a bit inconsistent, with a lack of important characters introduced Clone Wars and Am Mandalorian.

Where did Ahsoka and Grogu go, at the most important events of the skins? Well, let’s find out – the universe is a huge place, and I’m sure there’s no shortage of wicked people out there, beyond Emperor Palpatine. After all, Thrawn is still lost in space.

And this is perhaps the most promising path for a young Jedi, seeing as fans have already been told, once again, that a Jedi Order will never rule as it should. Ahsoka is an interesting character as she seems to be walking her own path, rejecting the strict Jedi teachings, and completely eliminating the strayers of the Dark Side, after seeing Anakin.

Perhaps, Grogu and Ahsoka can rebuild the Jedi into some new, less dogmatic – perhaps even as a result of Din ‘s struggle with the controversial sections of the Mandalorians.

And, of course, Din promised that he and Grogu would reunite one day; without a doubt, that is a scene from the end of a future season in which fans will be in tears again.
