Aside from the disappointing start to the season, of zero wins and two losses, the Washington Wizards counted this morning (Saturday through Sunday) a fifth straight loss against the Orlando Magic.
But despite that, the Wizards will be able to change that when they meet the team from Florida again tomorrow (2 a.m. Sunday through Monday). Even before the second game in a day, Danny Abdia’s club announced that Russell Westbrook would not be dressing for tonight’s game. The star who arrived injured from Houston and barely took part in training and pre-season games, will get a rest.
On the one hand, it will further lower Washington’s chances of a win against Orlando, but it could be a great opportunity for Danny Abdia to show what he knows, as Westbrook’s lack may bring the ball more into the hands of the Israeli, who scored 5 points in the first meeting.
The Wizards will of course have Bradley Bill, who excelled with 39 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Scott Brooks’ focus will be mainly on the defensive part, with this time his team will have to fight until the last quarter, which did not happen in the two opening games.
