West Ham look to move date for £ 5.8m striker

It is clear that West Ham United are looking for a new striker.

The club sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax earlier this month and ever since then, they have been looking for another one.

A striker has not yet been found, however, and the club appear to be monitoring potential property.

Sport Witness is carrying a report from L’Equipe claiming the club are now interested in signing Bordeaux striker Josh Maja.

West Bromwich Albion are also interested and it looks like a bidding war could explode.

Maja moved to France from Sunderland in 2019 and has gone on to 48 appearances for the French club.

In those games, he has recorded a total of 11 goals and it now looks like he could be ready to leave the club.

The French club are said to be struggling financially and are looking to raise money, with Maja’s ability to leave to raise money.

Both the Hammers and the Baggies have been named as potential attorneys but it remains to be seen whether he will move in January.

Harry Sherlock at GIVEMESPORT says…

Maja was linked with West Ham back in 2020.

It was then that the club again looked to bring in a striker and Maja was seen as a potential buy.

Now, they could be kicked as a result of the French financial crisis.

Transfermarkt is valued at £ 5.8m and has a good knowledge of England, having made progress at Sunderland.

This could be a real bargain for the Irons.
