Nikita Rokavica Celebrates (Omri Stein)
Maccabi Haifa striker Nikita Rokavica, who has already scored 16 goals in the Premier League this season, is on his safe way back to the Australian team. The player, the king of goals last season, received quite a few superlatives from the national team coach in his country, Graham Arnold, who addressed the possibility that the player will return to the squad for next month’s World Cup qualifiers.
“We’re going crazy if we ignore what Rokavica is doing,” he said Arnold. “I watch all his games, the style of play and his coach are very suitable for Rokavica. He is in great shape and is among the players we are testing their summoning option though with the Corona, really it is impossible to know what will be until next month. “This is a player who came fourth in the race for the title of player of the year in Asia, he is 33 years old but has not lost an inch of his speed, and thanks to his experience he needs half a position to win.”
Arnold added: “Rokavica has been playing for Maccabi Haifa for a long time and has become a legend there. He is a quiet guy, he is a great man, he is a player who will be proud to wear the team’s shirt and return to our squad and we will see what happens in the near future. ”
