Wingate (Wingate Institute)
The chairman of the Histadrut, Arnon Bar-David, visited the Wingate Institute, the National Institute of Excellence in Netanya, today (Tuesday), due to the management’s intentions to outsource the institute, when the Histadrut claims that this is a move contrary to the existing collective agreement.
In a letter sent to the director of the Wingate Institute, Shai Avrahami, with a copy to the Minister of Culture and Sports, Hili Trooper, the chairman of the Wingate Institute’s staff committee noted, Kuti DeraJ: “The institute has issued a ‘decision for a non-tender contract’ to provide operational solutions in the food system, accompanied by multidisciplinary personnel, with the intention of harming our organizational power and reducing the employment of workers in the collective agreement by outsourcing. The institute’s behavior is contrary to the collective agreement. “Stop and immediately cancel all outsourcing at the institute and stop harming employees.”
Chairman of the Histadrut Arnon Bar-David He said: “We will not allow unilateral harm to the status of the institute’s workers and we will use all means at our disposal to eradicate the phenomenon of outsourcing, even if we have to shut down the institute this Olympic year.”
