Among the many things Prince Harry spoke about in the delightful interview with British comedian James Corden The Late Late Show by James Corden, he also revealed a few interesting tidbits about his love story with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Recalling the early days of dating, he said: “We have to spend a lot of time, just the two of us. There was no worry, and that was great, it was amazing. We went from zero to 60 in the first two months. ”
The 36-year-old followed as he soon realized he was going to be pretty bad with Meghan. “Second date… I was starting to think wow this is so special,” he told Corden, as he traveled through Los Angeles in a double-decker bus.
He also asked why, “We hit it off together. We were so comfortable in each other’s company. ”
The former royals were introduced by a friend to each other, details of which Harry himself revealed in an interview with the BBC following his communications news after a year of dating back in 2017 .
The couple are said to have gone on their first date in July 2016 at Soho House on Dean Street in London.
“I was really surprised when I walked into that room and saw her,” Harry said of their first meeting in the BBC interview.
“I was like, all right, I have to pick up my game!”
Meghan said when she heard it was set up by Prince Harry, she asked her friend each other: “Is it nice? ”
“I didn’t know much about it, so the only thing I asked her when she said she wanted to set us up was, a ‘is it nice?’ ”She remembered.
Meghan said if it wasn’t “kind”, then “it didn’t seem to make sense”.
She continued: “So we went and met for a drink, and then I quickly thought into that and said, ‘Well what are we going to do tomorrow? We should meet again. ‘”
The couple then went on a second date the following night and continued their first joint trip to Botswana.
“So we were very much on our own,” Harry added. “I think that was crucial for me to make sure we got to know each other. ”
