Keltins in the game in question (Omri Stein)
Hapoel Haifa is having a hard time accepting the Football Association’s decision not to impose a penalty on Hapoel Beer Sheva following the sharing of midfielder David Keltins with five yellow cards in a game held on Saturday (2: 2).
Referee Liran Liani mistakenly entered a yellow card in the first round for Marwan Kabha’s duty in the game against Maccabi Netanya and not for Keltins’ duty. Liani changed the listing, Keltins will miss the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the cup and BS has no responsibility for the mistake.
Hapoel Haifa is waiting for answers on the subject from the association’s plaintiff, Adv. Nir Reshef. Owner Yoav Katz Sounds agitated: “Everything that happened is not our default. We warned and complained before the game against all the relevant parties that Keltins was carrying five yellows. The association had to investigate the complaint in depth. Now after the game, when they checked and saw that we were right, they decided that Keltins does have five yellows, but he will not play against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
“We demand a technical victory for several reasons. The first is that the default is not ours. BS has a responsibility to check which of its players is yellowed or not and not to drop the story about the association now. A similar case happened to us 11 years ago with Eran Levy and we received the verdict. The main responsibility is BS. Not because there was a registration error by the referee, BS will ignore it. An error was made against us and not against Maccabi Tel Aviv. “BS has to pay the price for the mistake. There is a price for this mistake and I expect the association to give us a technical victory. It is inconceivable that it will go smoothly and we will only get injured.”
At the professional level there is a very big disappointment from the output of the points in the last rounds and the fact that the team has moved away from the goal which is to reach the top playoffs at the end of the regular season.
