Unpleasant, not surprising. Oded Katash and Panathinaikos continued their disappointing Euroleague season tonight (Thursday) and suffered a painful 85:65 from Mandolo Zero. Also in the 31st round: CSKA Moscow easily defeated the Red Star 72:87.
Andulo Zero – Panathinaikos 65:85
Katsch’s Greens did not have much of a chance against the Turks in third place in the table. With the exception of the first two points of the game, the host controlled what was happening on the floor, took control of the match and achieved her 20th victory in 31 rounds. The one who stood out as usual with Andulo is the wonderful Vasily Mitchic who scored 21 points, to which he added seven assists. The Israeli coach is in 16th place and has no chance of qualifying for the next stage, which could explain the unconvincing ability of his trainees in the important factory on the continent.
CSKA Moscow – Red Star Belgrade 72:87
Another meeting between a group that secured its aliyah and one that ended its share in the factory, and the result accordingly. The Russians cruised to an easy victory over the Serbs, with five European champions scoring in double digits. CSKA led throughout the match, with Daniel Hackett leading it with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Mike James in a relaxed evening by his standards finished with 13 points and 4 assists.
