In the video above: The Brooklyn Victory Summary
Concurrent with the Washington game tonight (Thursday through Friday), five more games were played in the NBA. Brooklyn defeated Orlando, while the Clippers fell apart against Memphis. Joel Ambed and Philadelphia defeated Luca Doncic’s Dallas, Milwaukee achieved a fourth straight win (this time against New Orleans) and New York went on to mature with a W over Sacramento. All details here:
Brooklyn (12:22) – Orlando (20:13) 92: 129
Who will stop Brooklyn? Do not know, but certainly not Orlando. Kevin Durant was absent again, but that did not stop the Nets from achieving an eighth straight win over the weak Magic. Orlando managed to stay in business after the first quarter, followed by a 24:28 lead, but Brooklyn’s formidable second quarter (19:41) separated the forces.
Kyrie Irving excelled with 27 points and 9 assists, and James Harden recorded another excellent game with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. In the guest ranks Nikola Wojciech provided another typical game that included 28 points and 12 rebounds. The next opponent to try to stop the Nets: Dallas and Luka Doncic.
Memphis (14:14) – Los Angeles Clippers (11:23) 94: 122
Do you remember Kwai Leonard and Paul George’s show against Washington 48 hours ago? Well, Memphis managed to make her forget her. The two Los Angeles stars, who bombed a total of 41 points in the first half against Danny Abdia’s team, were stopped tonight for 30 points by the Wolves (17 for Kwai and 13 for George).
As can be seen from the numbers, it was Memphis’ defense that pushed it throughout the tackle and gave it the big advantage. In the final quarter the Clippers managed to shrink to 92:83, but the hosts went out for a 2:12 run that closed the story. The star of the game was coordinator Tios Jones, who came off the bench and scored 20 points (9 of 11 from the field) in a quarter of an hour. Dillon Brooks came back from injury and contributed 19, and Jonas Valencia recorded a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Philadelphia (11:22) – Dallas (16:15) 97: 111
Two are better than one. Luka Doncic struggled against Ben Simmons who made sure to stick to him as he knows in defense, and of course Joel Ambid who led the scenes with 23 points (despite a bad shooting evening of 5 of 20 from the field). Philly’s two stars set the tone in the second quarter, with a cumulative 22 points en route to a 21:36 lead in the quarter, which gave the Sixers the promising double-digit lead.
Doncic failed to recover the ability from the dramatic win over Boston, and this time stopped at 3-of-9 from the field in the first half and 19 points in total. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jaylen Bronson tried as much as possible to help the Slovenian, with 13 and 11 points respectively. The Mavericks are back to losing after putting together two straight wins.

New York Knicks (17:16) – Sacramento (20:12) 121: 140
Not every day the Knicks put on such a fine offensive game. In fact, the Knicks have never played such a fine offensive game. The team from New York met the weak defensive team in the league, and showed sides that they also did not know it had. For the first time in its history, New York scored 140+ points on 60% from the field and 50% from three (minimum two shots off the arc).
Those who won the concert at Madison Square Garden were actually two bench players: Alex Brex (24 points) and the great rookie Emanuel Quickley (25 points). Fresh All-Star Julius Randall added 21 points alongside 14 rebounds. For the Kings, who suffered their ninth loss (!) In a row, Diaron Fox finished with a double-double of 29 points and 11 assists, and Tyris Halibton recorded 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.

Milwaukee (13:20) – New Orleans (18:14) 125: 129
Since the less-than-good period that included a five-loss streak, the Bucks look much better and this is their fourth win in a row, which puts them in a very good position at the top of the Eastern Conference table below Philadelphia and Brooklyn only. On the other hand, the Pelicans only managed to put together three consecutive wins once, and this time they surrendered at the end of a thriller and suffered an 18th loss this season.
The game was quite fickle and close, with neither team able to produce a double-digit gap. The advantage with the small differences moved from side to side and changed 23 times until the end. Yannis Antecompo excelled with 38 points and 10 rebounds, and he received help from Chris Middleton (31). Zion Williamson scored 34 on the other side, Brandon Ingram (23) and Lonzo Ball (20) contributed their own.
