Each episode of WandaVision corresponds to a specific time of comedy. But as time goes on, Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) seems to be growing unresolved and her control of Westview is weakening. So, anachronistic stuff has come in recently.
The last two programs have been full of explosive revelations that could transform not only Westview but the entire Marvel Cinematic universe. This, of course, includes the unexpected arrival of Pietro Maximoff (Evan Peters at X-Men and not Aaron Taylor Johnson as we and Wanda remember him from Age of Ultron), her longtime brother dead who now has a different face. She is fully aware of the nature of truth.
As things unfold, the last couple of events promise even more ground exposures.
And yet, Wanda isn’t ready to give up yet, and she’s still doing her best to maintain the faux sitcom vision.
A teaser from the upcoming 7 episode shows Wanda breaking the fourth wall and speaking directly to the audience, similar to mock shows like The Office and Modern Family. Is Westview 2000s or 2010s?
Wanda talks about how we have all been, “expanding the boundaries of the false world we have created.” The couple arrive and tell her their problem – their video game controllers change into different things. Wanda is in no mood to listen, however, and tells them she’s lying her eyes. Under the covers, she remembers still covered in her Halloween costume.
Vision (Paul Bettany), who almost died in the last episode while trying to escape from Westview, is still missing. This was to save Wanda Expanded the city limits.
The question is, is Wanda doing it all herself? Or is she someone’s child? We think there is more to what meets the eye. She may be upholding this fact, but she may not have created it herself.
