While the biggest Xbox Game Pass news of the week is when 20 major Bethesda titles came after Microsoft’s build, there may be one more to add soon with some meaning.
Game Pass has done this before, a “leaking” game coming to the service with a fun email, and now we have a new one from “Melissa McGamepass” that you can read aloud. low.

The most important line there is “Has anyone noticed a secret signal appearing on the horizon recently or am I the anomaly in this situation? ”
While many sci-fi games have used both secret tokens and anomalies in several plot points, there is one that uses both that are released in… two weeks. Enix’s Squares Outriders.
And some of the terminology here is detailed:
In addition to the secret mark mentioned there, the anomaly is the main focus of the whole game and the unstable storm on an alien planet that will give you your powers.
When it was first suggested to me that Outriders might launch on Xbox Game Pass after this heat, I didn’t think that made much sense, thinking that you buy the game in advance. But Microsoft has done things like this before, and it’s hard to deny anything when it comes to wanting to make Game Pass attractive.
Square Enix’s last big deal was with PlayStation for Avengers, where that version of the game got a few bonuses and a promise that a special Spider-Man hero would still be forthcoming. But now for the other looter, it is possible that they teamed up with Microsoft this time. The largest looter on the market right now, Destiny 2, made a deal with Microsoft to be on Game Pass with its new expansion, and that may have been a success, so Microsoft went after Outriders for its this new contract.
It would just be a hell of a mutual understanding that this phrase would see two weeks before the arrival of Outriders. One possible issue with this is that it could change minds as to where people build the game, meaning that their investment in the demo would not take over as there is no cross- save there. For example I have four maxed characters and several legends on PlayStation, but if I wanted to switch over to Game Pass on Xbox, that wouldn’t follow (demo progress saves for the final game release) .
It’s possible that this is another sci-fi game that I can’t think of right now. Dead place? I do not know. But Outriders is indeed responding to the bill based on what is being built on this, and if there is an official announcement, I would expect to hear it soon. Keep an eye out for updates.
