WA Premier Mark McGowan mocks him for failing his funny mask

Mark McGowan was joked on social media for putting a face mask over his eyes after a press conference.

The humorous scene came as the West Australian protagonist ended talks with the state about a five-day coronavirus lockout in Perth on Monday.

At the end of the briefing, Mr McGowan first covered his eyes with the mask, before dragging it down to cover his nose and mouth.

Hours later, Tik Tok user Cassandra Edwards posted a video of homosexuality thanking the state director for showing her how to use a face mask properly.

Perth residents have to wear face masks at all times when they are not at home, even inside their offices and cars.

Set to a tune by Michael Bolton, How Am I Supposed to Live Without You, the video showed a Perth woman opening her front door before stopping non-stop.

Ms Edwards looked at her confused and asked ‘Am I forgetting something? ‘.

A thought bubble appeared above her head with video of Mr McGowan covering his eyes with the face mask.

She shook, grabbed her own mask and put it over her eyes.

‘Thank you Mark xo,’ she wrote.

Tik Tok’s users came to the comments section to laugh with Ms Edwards at Mr McGowan’s sad mistake.

‘Love Mark but that was funny a bad boy needs to be helped to the fullest,’ wrote one user.

‘Mad respect Mark for his continued defense of WA but this made me lol hard,’ said another.

‘Oh for sure,’ replied Ms Edwards. ‘In Mark we trust.’

On Monday, a man was jailed after refusing to wear a face mask on the first day of detention.

The 41-year-old was outside a shopping center on the Great Eastern Highway in Midland when police officers spoke to him on Monday.

Police claim the man did not have a face mask and asked him to do so, in accordance with the latest restrictions in the city.

He has been accused of failing to follow instructions and not complying with a request for personal information to be provided to the police.

The town was locked up while a security guard was working on the same floor of the regained housing Sheraton Four Points hotel in Perth.

The man, from Maylands, inside Perth, had operated 12-hour transfers on both January 26 and 27 while the hotel had four active cases, including two with a UK variable and one that has been proven to be South African pressure.

The man returned negative results as part of routine tests on January 15, 17 and 23 but started becoming ill last Thursday and called in sick for his move that day.

It was highly likely to have been contagious since January 26, Western Australia’s chief health officer Andy Robertson said, with 15 places the man had now visited as potential exposure sites.

The man had a second job as a tour division driver but authorities said he had not worked in that position since Jan. 22.

Authorities believe the security guard did not show himself ‘useless’ by entering any hotel rooms.

Perth, Peel and South West were locked in for five days from 6pm on Sunday.

At the press conference, Mr McGowan urged residents ‘do your duty: stay home unless for one of the four permitted reasons’.

‘If we can all work together and do the right thing over the next few days, we will increase our chances of crushing this virus again,’ he said.

The lockout will be in effect until 6pm on Friday, with residents only allowed to leave their home for the following reasons – essential purchases, medical appointments, exercise and work that cannot be done remotely.
