“Voters are leaving because of you”: Protest continues against Mara’a in the Labor Party

Gil Beilin, who is ranked tenth on the Knesset Labor Party list, today (Sunday) turned to Abtissam Maraana, who is ranked seventh on the party list, and asked her to resign from the Labor list and run for Knesset.
Beilin turned to Mara’a following her extreme posts in the past, in which she wrote bluntly against IDF soldiers, supported a terrorist operative and spoke out against Holocaust survivors, which hurt the Labor Party’s chances of succeeding in the upcoming elections.
“Dear Abtissam, I keep getting calls and messages from friends, Labor members, party voters and many people who this time intended to return home and vote ‘Labor’, informing me, sadly, that they are leaving the party and will not vote for us because of your words,” Beilin wrote.

“Our main occupation, the Knesset candidates, focuses on the effort to stop the drift of those who are not willing to vote for the Labor Party, to explain you, to say you apologized, and all this instead of presenting the party’s plans and vision,” he added.

“If the Labor Party happens to you, you will have to make a decision that only you can make: resign from the list to the Knesset, so as not to harm the party’s chances in the upcoming elections. It is difficult for me to write these things, and I know there is a certain injustice, but it was very difficult. “I must be exposed to the things that were quoted on your behalf, and I can understand the many who informed me of abandonment. Now is your moment.”
