The United States is continuing to closely monitor the medical condition of Tiger Woods, who was moderately-severely injured last night (Tuesday) in a car accident. Continues to recover and his life is not in danger.
“He is alert, responding to the environment and recovering in his room,” his family said in an official statement on Woods’ private Twitter account. “We thank everyone for the support and announcements at this difficult time. Tiger was involved in a car accident in California, he underwent long surgery on the lower right leg and ankle after arriving at the hospital. Thank you to the doctors and the hospital in Los Angeles for their support.” We continue to thank you but ask for privacy. “

The golfer was the only one who was in his vehicle during the accident. At 7:12 a.m., Woods reportedly veered off the road and overturned. As you can see in the video, his car suffered particularly significant damage and the airbags were opened. In order to get him out of it, the fire brigade and paramedics had to rescue him using a tool called “jaws of life”, which is used when it is not possible to open the vehicle manually.
Woods is considered one of the greatest, most famous and influential golfers of all time. He holds five Masters titles, four PGA Championships, three US OPENs and three more Open Championships. Along with a total of 82 titles in his extensive career, he was selected 11 times as the PGA Tour Player of the Year, an all-time record, and held the most weeks as the first in the world rankings (683). His tremendous professional success also brought with it economic prosperity, when he became the first athlete in history worth over a billion dollars.
Heal up quickly @TigerWoods! Praying for you and your family. God is in control always. Stay strong
