According to many media reports in the US, the mythical TV presenter Larry King, 87, has been hospitalized in a Los Angeles hospital due to complications of the corona virus. He suffers from various background diseases, including cancer and heart problems.
CNN, in which the Jewish-American King hosted the main talk show (“Larry King Live”) from 1985 to 2010, reported that he was hospitalized about a week ago, but his condition is now unclear. “Larry has been fighting so many health problems in recent years and he’s been fighting it hard too, he’s a champion,” a family insider told ABC News.
King revealed in 2017 that he had lung cancer and underwent treatments. In 2019 he underwent angioplasty and suffered a stroke. He survived a major heart attack in 1987. In the past year, King has lost two of his children. His son, Andy, died of a heart attack in July and his daughter Chia died of lung cancer in August.
In six decades of his career, King has conducted more than 40,000 interviews with a huge variety of celebrities and political leaders, including Nelson Mandela, Yasser Arafat, every U.S. president from Nixon to Trump.
