The 27th round of the French league continued today (Sunday) with a big drama, when the leader Lille was already on the verge of a surprising loss, but scored late and finished 1-1 at home with Strasbourg. Monaco also maintained its position at the top with 0: 2 over Brest.

Lille – Strasbourg 1: 1

The leader of the table has already seen herself absorb a third loss this season and allows Lyon to stick, but has secured another round at the top with 59 points at the close and burning top. Ludovic Orca scored (36) and almost set up three precious points for his teammates at the bottom, but Jose Ponte made sure to equalize (86).

Monaco – Brest 0: 2

The host continued her efforts to secure a place in the Champions League next season, and perhaps even beyond. Monaco is based in fourth place by a gap of 14 points on the fifth Metz and is only four points away from the night at the top. Brest on the other hand is complicated at the bottom and is only 6 points above the red line. Wissam Ben Yader missed an opportunity to take the lead when he missed Pendel (29), but Stevan Jovtic (76) and Kevin Poland (90) scored late and calmed down.
