United States: Biden attacked Putin for interfering in the presidential election

US President Joe Biden today (Wednesday) referred to a report unveiled yesterday stating that Russia had intervened in last year’s US presidential election. “Vladimir Putin will pay the price for his intervention,” the 46th president of the United States said, adding that he saw the Russian president as a murderer.

Biden revealed that he spoke with Putin in January, after he entered the White House and warned him of the expected consequences following the intervention: Ready for results. ” Despite this, the president agreed that there is room for cooperation with Russia and noted his decision to extend the arms deal with Russia from January.

As you may recall, a Reuters report was published on the Reuters network yesterday, stating that the Russian government was trying to influence the outcome of a confrontation between Biden and former President Donald Trump. The report stated that the intervention was made by substantiating false accusations against the president-elect, by Trump’s allies.

The report highlighted allegations that Trump’s allies collaborated with Moscow and intensified allegations against Biden regarding his ties with Ukraine. Senior U.S. officials have also counted attempts by Cuba, Venezuela and Hezbollah in Lebanon to influence the election. However, it is written that “it is estimated that these attempts were fewer than those made by Russia and Iran.”
