Hapoel Tel Aviv fans (Noam Moreno)
After opposing the return of the crowd to the pitches, Hapoel Tel Aviv fans are protesting and will not enter the game against Bnei Sakhnin on Saturday, the Ultras Hapoel fan organization also announced that it invites the red crowd to stand outside Bloomfield Stadium instead of entering it.
“With sorrow and pain we announce that under the terms of the current outline we will not enter the game on Saturday,” the organization said in a statement. “Ultras Hapoel stands up for the Hapoel Tel Aviv club and the desire to enter the stands and encourage is already exploding. However, we can not and will not give a hand to separate the crowd. A fan organization must recognize its power and responsibility for all fans. But the future damage of cooperating with such conditions and restrictions could be tens of times greater.
“Football is not a concert and therefore we will not accept precedent-setting decrees sponsored by Corona and we will not give in to elements who want to exterminate the culture of football fans and turn the stadium into one huge stand of honor. We did not come to eat popcorn – we came to make noise and support the team. And certainly when there is no consideration for the size of the stadium, there is no adequate solution for young fans, and there is no entry of outside crowds – from the pillars of football fan culture.
“We oppose the current outline and expect all the fans – for whom the organization is fighting – to behave like us. We call on all fans to show solidarity towards each other and come to protest against the outline with all their might: this coming Saturday, 13:30, She’erit Yisrael, Jerusalem Boulevard, come!”
