Every member of the American crew was accounted for before attempts were made to save the ship.

The third round robin races begin on January 22 with Ainslie’s side in double-headed as INEOS Team UK face American Magic without winning first before meeting Luna Rossa.

The winner of the series that ends on February 22 will take on TNZ holders in a series of head-to-head races from March 6 for the American Cup, known as the “Auld Mug. ”
