The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ousted the minister of state for foreign affairs Anwar Gargash in a cabinet reshuffle.
Gargash, who has been named as adviser to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will be replaced by Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan, Dubai governor and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said on Twitter on Wednesday. changes such as “small cabinet rearrangement”.

Gargash has held the post since February 2008, while Shakhbout bin Nahyan has been the UAE ambassador to Saudi Arabia since July 2017.
Gargash worked on a historic normalization of relations with Israel last year.
Zaki Nusseibeh was ousted as minister of state for public and cultural diplomacy at the foreign ministry to become cultural adviser to the president.
He will be replaced by former political minister Khalifa al-Marar.
