Tyrese Maxey part of the 76ers trade offer for Kyle Lowry

With less than two days to go before the NBA trade deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers appear to be interested in trading for the Toronto Raptors guarding Kyle Lowry, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The Sixers have been linked in recent trade talks with Lowry, who will be a free agent unhindered this summer. To make trading possible, the Sixers have provided rookie Tyrese Maxey in talks as part of their package, according to Scotto.

The 76ers are still interested in acquiring Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, and rookie guard Tyrese Maxey is among the funds available as part of a trade package, league sources told HoopsHype. Maxey has revealed flashes of potential, including a 39-point game in January against the Nuggets.

Maxey, who was in the 21st overall selection, was probably one of the 76ers ’best trading picks currently on the roster. He has shown flavors on the court and even appeared in trade rumors involving James Harden when it was reported that the Sixers were interested in getting him from Houston.

The 20-year-old has recently played to the struggles with the Sixers. He saw a big spot early in the season when the Sixers handled health and safety protocols but since then he’s been in and out of circulation with the team pretty much healthy again.

Maxey averages 7.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 37 games this season.
