Before the holidays, Tyler Perry took to social media to announce that 2020 has been some of life’s challenges.
Posting a selfie mirror in exercise clothes, the 51-year-old Hollywood writer, producer and director shared a rare glimpse into what has been going on in his private life.
“This is what a midlife crisis looks like,” Perry wrote. “I’m 51, single and wondering what the next chapter of my life will look like.”
Perry said he was optimistic about the new year. “No matter what it’s like to walk with God, be the best father and man I can be, keep my head up high, and see if I watch my best do it !! “he continued. “In a world with so much sadness, please stay in good spirits! Merry Christmas and look forward to 2021 bringing us peace!”
Perry, who shares a son with his longtime partner Gelila Bekele, did not comment on any other details.
