Two terrorists who tried to carry out an attack against IDF soldiers were arrested

Security forces arrested the two terrorists last month who tried to carry out a combined attack on January 9 near the Palestinian village of Ya’bad in northern Samaria, the publication was allowed today (Monday).

According to the IDF, forces of the army, the GSS and the Border Police cooperated in the days following the attempted attack and shooting, which was carried out against IDF fighters last month, following intelligence and operational activities between the three bodies. The squad was arrested in the village of Kabatiya a few days after the attempted attack, during an arrest operation by a cherry unit, a paratroop patrol and special forces of the Border Police, in the area of ​​the “Menashe” regional brigade.

An investigation into the attempted attack revealed that two terrorists planned to carry out a shooting attack with a Carlo-type weapon at forces operating in the area. The two arrived at the scene armed with loaded weapons in order to carry out the attack. During the attempted attack, the weapon fell from the vehicle in which the terrorists were sitting, who did not fire at the end at the fighters.

When they tried to flee the scene, the driver accelerated his vehicle and hit one of the soldiers who was at the scene. The vehicle was located in the area a few hours later by IDF fighters. At the request of the military prosecution, the detention of the two terrorists was extended until February 28 in order to file an indictment against them.
