Twitter is updating a warning leaflet for incorrect election information claiming Joe Biden has won

Earlier, Twitter leaflets said there was controversy over electioneering claims.

The new leaflets state: “Election officials have confirmed Joe Biden as the winner of the U.S. Presidential election.”

The new language is now active President Donald Trump’s Tweet From Saturday morning weakens the election result, and will be applied to all future presses that do the same.

“Following confirmation of the results of the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, we have updated our leaflet to reflect the latest information,” Twitter spokesman Nick Pacilio told CNN.

The change comes after strong criticism from democracy experts who said the labeling of social media platforms almost failed in the post-election period.
While Twitter said last month that it was marking around 300,000 tweets for content that was controversial or potentially misleading over a two-week period covering the election, critics have said such labels do not match for the torrent of false claims that continue to divide Americans.
