Birthdays this year may have been low in spirit but we always had good food to lift us up. Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna’s 47th birthday may have been a small, intimate event, but it was big on food. She cut 4 cakes and treated lovers with an Indian fare that deserved a drool that we can’t take our eyes off. Twinkle Khanna’s cousin and actor, Karan Kapadia, shared photos and videos from the birthday, which is a joy for scores of Twinkle fans.
Gong with the Instagram updates of Karan Kapadia, it seems that Twinkle Khanna was limiting the collection to a few family members and friends. Twinkle Khanna looked awesome as usual but what really caught our attention were the 4 birthday cakes that Twinkle got to cut. We could see one chocolate cake, one white cream cake spread with cocoa dust, another chocolate cake with a beautiful frosting in the shape of a flower. And then the 4th cake stood out from the lot. It was baked to look like the book ‘Mrs. Funnybones’, a popular book of satirical stories written by Twinkle Khanna herself.
The book ‘Mrs. Funnybones can be credited for making Twinkle Khanna a household name. It is only right to celebrate Twinkle ‘s achievement on her birthday.
Karan Kapadia also gave us a glimpse of the birthday party which included a major Indian spread. Chane, chicken butter, biryani, raita, parathas, naan, salad, dal tadka – we’re already salted seeing these dishes in the mail.
