Tuchel and three others: the candidates to coach Chelsea

Beginning of an article

Past players who take command of the team they starred in and lead it to win titles are not a common sight. At Chelsea, it was hoped that Frank Lampard would be one of the only individuals to do so, but a year and a half since he was appointed coach, his days seem to be numbered.

The painful 3: 1 loss to Manchester City was the straw that broke the camel’s back and immediately after that it was reported that Chelsea are already looking for a replacement for Lampard and now the “Independent” claim that he will have a little more time to save the sinking ship. In the same breath, it was written that the Blues already has a shortlist of four leading candidates to take his place and try to lead the ambitious project to success.

The most prominent name of all is that of Thomas Tuchel who was fired this week from coaching Paris Saint-Germain. He enjoyed successes at Borussia Dortmund and also took the French champions to the Champions League final and his resume speaks for itself. In addition, he will have a common language with three players from the German national team in his homeland: Timo Werner and Kai Haberz who came in the summer for huge sums and have not yet connected and Antonio Rodiger.

Who else is running for office? From Similiano Allegri who left Juventus a year and a half ago and has yet to find a new team and with him are two other coaches leading Premier League teams to relative success: Brendan Rogers Malster and Ralph Hazenhotel who changed Southampton from end to end.
