Tragedy in Brazil: 4 players perished in a plane crash

A little over four years after the Shapquansa aviation disaster, Brazil has been dealing with another trauma in the last day after a private plane carrying players from the Palmas team crashed.

Six people were reportedly killed in the plane crash: four players, the 32-year-old president of the team and the pilot, who also failed to survive. It is also reported that the plane on which the players from the team from the fourth league in Brazil were on their way to Guyana where a local cup game was to take place.

The Brazilian club said: “The Palmas football club is sorry to announce that a plane crash occurred this morning, in which club president Lucas Myra and footballers Lucas Proxdes, Guillermo Noah, Renuel and Marcus Molinari were killed. Please pray for all the families of those who perished.”

As you may recall, on November 28, 2016, the aviation disaster in the Columbia Mountains, near Medellin, claimed the lives of 71 people, including 19 Shapquansa footballers when only six people survived the crash.
