Trae Young – Grayson Allen beef, explained

Welcome to FTW Explains, our series where we try to keep you up to date with what’s going on in the world. Today, we deal with the cow Trae Young – Grayson Allen.

Who are these people now?

Trae Young is a star guard for the Atlanta Hawks, and one of the best emerging young players in the NBA. Grayson Allen is on the Grizzlies, and is best known for his time at the Duke, when he became one of the ugliest players in a long line of lads that the Duke hated. .

Why would people hate it?

He flopped a lot, and he had one of those faces … but he was also often accused of being a dirty player, especially since it was his habit to threaten players, which is relevant here.

Why are players tripping so badly?

In this NBA, you have some pretty big men running at incredible speeds at each other on a hard court. It speaks to the awareness and flexibility of their body that people will not be hurt all the time. Deliberately threatening players puts the player at risk, and anyone else in the way. It is bad news.

Got it. So what is this beef?

On Sunday, Young shared a video of Allen appearing to be deliberately stepping on his heels during a Hawks game against the Grizzlies. It happens quickly, but Allen seems to reach for his leg to catch Young ‘s heel.

…This is surprisingly dangerous, I should point out, even more so than your garden mix trip, because Achilles injuries have ruined previous careers. Allen misses and catches high on the heel, and bad things can happen.

Was he secretive?

No idea. The only person who knows that is Grayson Allen.

Did he respond?

You bet he did!

Wow.

Yep. And history is here too.

Oh yes?

You better believe it. He started back in the 2018 Summer League, when they first got into it.

It was then picked up earlier this month:

I feel trapped by this situation.

Well good. I’m glad.
