A decade since its last championship, Glasgow Rangers are within touching distance of winning the title for the 55th time in its history. Steven Gerrard’s side defeated Saint-Mirren 0-3 tonight (Saturday), and Celtic’s loss of points tomorrow against Dundee United will finally seal the race.
Rangers didn’t really have a hard time recording a fourth straight win, and continuing their lossless season. Although Gerard sat in the stands due to dismissal, he saw Ryan Kent (14), Alfredo Morelos (16) and Yannis Haji (46) score three goals in favor of the leader, who recorded her 28th victory this season.
Since its last championship a decade ago, in 2010/11, not easy years have passed for Ranges. Scotland’s top scorer was relegated to the fourth division in 2012 due to bankruptcy, returned to the local Premier League in 2016 and is now close to lifting the title again.
