The last few weeks have really marked a year that has been lively, unexpected for Netflix’s Top 10 list. Unlike the ranking of stable and relatively predictable TV shows, in the year 2021 dozens of different films (which are largely third-party projects) are filtering in and out from Netflix daily rankings per week.
Case in point: today we already saw the sixth different film in March, There is a Day, claim position # 1. And I anticipate that this trend will continue in the future.
Which is great! Because the annual ratings for the most popular movies on Netflix on the list will be much weaker and more diverse than they were last year.
Plus, there are plenty of great movies coming this year, like Joe WrightThe Woman in the Window (which will make its Netflix debut on May 12) and Zack Snyder Army of the Dead (May 21). Which means the Netflix 2021 rating will see a lot of trends soon.
But for now: what are the most popular movies so far this year? While we don’t have real statistics (because Netflix is holding on so tightly to its audience numbers), we do have the top 10 list – which is updated daily. Because of that, I was able to design a points-based system that will rank the popularity of each movie on the Netflix platform over a longer period of time.
So, on March 13, here are the 25 most popular movies on Netflix in 2021 (the daring movies are the newcomers on this list):

There is nothing new at the top. We can be heroes completely under the control of Netflix for the last few weeks. The film superhero Robert Rodriguez spent 66 consecutive days on the charts and is currently the second most popular movie on Netflix since the top 10 rankings were launcheddespicable Me there is some lead at the moment).
Probably the most important jump this week I care about a lot, which moved from fifth to second place. The Golden Globe – winning film (Rosamund Park won for best actress in comedy or music) is now on 20 consecutive days on the charts – something most people can’t climb. reach of films. The biggest jumps have come over the last seven days Training Day, which jumped from 66th place last week all the way to 20th place today, and The Dark Knight, which moved from 63rd to 18th place.
Other important trends followed Bigfoot family, which moved from 21st to sixth place, and Moxie, which went from 57th to 19th place.
Three were injured this week: Pinkfong & Baby Shark space adventure (currently has 57 points), Red Dot (56 points) and Calum & Marie (56 points).
