Jeremy Fargo returns to Israeli basketball: This will happen tonight (Wednesday) when Maccabi Rishon Lezion will host Hapoel Eilat for an intriguing game, when the veteran guard will make his debut in the uniform of his new team. In another game between two teams that look good so far this season, Hapoel Beer Sheva and Gilboa / Galil will meet.

The big story is of course the return of Fargo, who will play for the first time in his fourth team uniform in Israel and tonight the orange fans will enjoy him for the first time. Jamil Wilson, who arrived from Hapoel Jerusalem, will also play for his new team for the first time.
Rishon Lezion returns to play basketball for the first time since its best game this season, the semi-final of the State Cup, and will appear in a different squad. Trey Lewis was not recorded at all, which means Guy Goodes with three foreigners in the face positions (Wilson, Darrell Monroe and Achilles Mitchell) and only Fargo as a lone foreigner in the guard position. After the success in the cup, the runner-up will try to improve positions in the league, as she is in 9th place overall, with 5 losses versus 7 wins.
Eilat, for its part, comes after a huge victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv, in which it proved once again that it is a top team for everything. Ariel Beit Halachmi received Casey Prather with record ability, but no less important – Joe Ragland who finished with 15 points and 13 assists – and came back to himself after a period in which he was less good. The injured Joaquin Schuchman and Tzof Ben Moshe are not expected to play, which means that once again Eilat will play in a short rotation.

Hapoel Beer Sheva – Hapoel Gilboa / Galil (19:30, live broadcast on5PLUS)
After almost a month without basketball, the Reds from the Negev are back on the floor – and they too will show a new and familiar face: Arik Thompson, who played for Hapoel Eilat last season, joined during the break in place of James Banks, who was a candidate for replacement from the first weeks of the season. Another foreigner who joined the break, Nick Hornsby, was not registered. Injured Nathan Jorkovic will be absent.
Gilboa / Galil went on hiatus at a bad time for her, just after achieving her two most impressive victories this season – over Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem – and since being relegated from the State Cup in early January, she has won six of her seven games in all competitions. The group is at least good, even the opposite is true.
