The creative minds who developed a real festival experience in Boom, Belgium, decided to take a bold new effort to start the new year on the right foot. Hit by unprecedented restrictions by 2020, organizers added Tomorrowland we exceeded expectations by providing a unique way of celebrating the new year together.
Utilizing its amazing digital entertainment space, NAOZ, the festival was able to design and generate meaningful experiences like no other. The platform allowed Tomorrowland’s New Year’s Eve event to change to all 27 timeframes around the world, so anyone in attendance could experience the same experience wherever it was. they are.
The lineup for the anticipated event did not disappoint much. Employing over 25 world-renowned EDM artists, Tomorrowland’s huge NYE show featured Major Lazer, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Tchami, Duck sauce, Snoop Dogg‘s DJ Snoopadelic, Diplo, Noize boys, and CamelPhat, among others. This impressive line was collected and spread over four protectedly designed levels: Melodia, Atmosphere, Planaxis and Pulse. You can take a closer look at each level here.
Surprisingly, all levels were computer-generated and did not exist at the time of recording. The artists played their sets in front of a green screen beforehand, of course, so that their performances could be interspersed with the stunning visual elements present throughout the experience. The elements that were subsequently introduced – including the sounds of the audience chewing, singing and singing along to the music – made the celebrate feeling as alive as possible.
Probably the most anticipated performance of all was the set from top Dutch DJ and music producer Martin Garrix. The young gunman displayed plenty of new music that he and his family had STMPD RCRDS a label had been shining before the event, as well as yesterday ‘s iconic hymns that its fans know and love.
The digital celebration included almost everything a dance music fan could expect with an event of this magnitude, as long as it was safe and socially remote. Those who purchased an On-Demand Pass can watch any individual DJ set to January 14, 2021.
